Linux is absolutely out of the question, much as I'd like it not to be. Linux is a great tool for a few particular jobs - servers, development, geek-toy. To affect the majority of people, you need to actually touch their lives somehow. If you want to change the world, you have to affect the majority of people. What Linux need is to continue its high standards and the world will change around it. What Linux needs is not more legacy comercial software.

Let me state that the comercial software I run on this box (Netscape, Star Office, Word Perfect, etc) crashes and tends to be poorly put together.
